What a pretty part of the world Sawtell is, and on Saturday 07/07/07, the main street was alive with energy and enthusiasm as well. We were there to participate in the Annual Chilli Festival, and it was a fabulous day. Only a few photos and not particularly well done.
We met some fantastic people, but a big thumbs down to the bloke who asked to have a chilli to play a joke, was refused, and came back and stole it. One chilli – so what – some might say, but it is not nice to have people around you who do that stuff. Despite that we were busy busy, and sold out of some things. Thanks though, to the caravan park people whose facilities were fantastic and were friendly and helpful. We will see you again next year!
We are looking forward to the Byron Bay “Taste of Byron” festival, which will incorporate the inaugural Chilli festival. Book your accommodation now, as it will fill up fast. 22 and 23 September are the key dates, and the new road will be well and truly open by then, making the journey easier for us all.
